インド海軍のスピードボートが制御を失い、フェリーに激突する瞬間が撮影された。

衝突後、フェリーが転覆

この事故が起きたのは12月18日、場所はインド中西部・マハーラーシュトラ州の州都、ムンバイの沖合とされている。

当時、インド海軍のスピードボートがアラビア海を航行していたが、突然制御不能になり、フェリーに激突したという。

これにより、乗客を乗せていたフェリーが転覆。大規模な救助活動が行われたそうだ。スピードボートが衝突する瞬間が、こちら。

試験航行中にエンジンが故障

この事故により、4機の海軍のヘリコプターが上空を飛行し、11隻の海軍艇と4隻の沿岸警備隊または警察のボートが海域を捜索したという。

この結果、約100人が救出されたが、現時点で13人の死亡が確認された。
